While in Southeast Asia to attend the recent Australian Future Skills Mission delegation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, our CEO, Ms Alana Anderson, and our International Operations Manager, Mr. David Thomson also stopped by the Philippines to conduct some important business with our valued partners.
Alana and David met with Presidential Assistant Mr. Antonio Tabora Jr and his team, Mr. Socrates Abella Jr, and Ms. Rosanna Rosuman, who represent the Cordillera Administrative Region of the Philippines.
Partnership opportunities were discussed over dinner at the Benjarong Thai Restaurant in the Dusit Thani Hotel Manila regarding the delivery of transnational education and international student opportunities in the Cordillera area. We are extremely excited by this partnership and are looking forward to progressing the program further. Thank you to Mr. PA Tabora and his team.
While in the Philippines, our team had a few more stops to make, including a fabulous catch up with our long standing friends and business partners, Ms. Rachel Guimalan and Mr. Engel Guimalan of SMW Visa Services. After some interesting discussions we look forward to progressing our ideas further on international student recruitment and transnational training opportunities.
With the intended first delivery of our partnered transnational training to Don Bosco School participants fast approaching, Alana and David’s also caught up with the Don Bosco Team to continue working on building the relationship between our two organisations, which is greatly valued by us. We are thankful to have met such like-minded and genuine people such as the team at Don Bosco.
While in the Philippines, Alana held the second training session for our partnership with the Australian Embassy of the Philippines, Department of Home Affairs, where students composed of Government personnel from 3 different agencies, the Bureau of Immigration, the Bureau of Customs, and the Philippines Coast Guard, are undertaking a TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
We’re told all the students did a fabulous job with their presentations and are well on track to successfully completing the course, very soon!
